Arabic Language
In February 1981, a graduate program was opened in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature for a master’s degree in the Arabic language in two specializations: "Literature and Criticism" and "Language and Grammar." Hundreds of master’s theses have been discussed in the department so far, the first of which was in February 1983.
English Language / Literature and Criticism
The Department of English Language and Literature has offered a master’s degree in English Literature and Criticism since its establishment. Students can obtain their degree upon completion of 24 credit hours and the submission of a thesis, or 33 credit hours and passing a comprehensive examination.

Translation
The program aims to enhance the written and oral translation skills of students, addressing the growing demand for translators in diverse fields both within and outside Jordan. This is particularly crucial in the current era of significant advancements in information and communication technology.
History
Department of History is one of the academic departments in the Faculty of Arts. It began to grant the master's degree at the beginning of the academic year 1987/1988, in two tracks: (1) Islamic history and Islamic civilization, and (2) Modern and contemporary history.
Applied Geography
This program is one of the distinguished programs at the level of master's programs in Jordanian universities because it focuses on the applied aspect more than on the theoretical aspects in geography sciences and the use of modern technologies such as geographic information systems and remote sensing, in addition to statistical methods and methods.
Political Science / International Political Economy

Language Sciences (French)
The Master's in Language Sciences (French) offers two tracks: the thesis track and the comprehensive track. The thesis track includes 33 credit hours, with 9 hours dedicated to the thesis and the remaining hours divided between 15 hours of mandatory courses and 9 hours of elective courses. The comprehensive track also includes 33 credit hours, with 24 hours of mandatory courses and 9 hours of elective courses, in addition to passing a comprehensive exam according to the university's master's degree regulations.
Sociology
The Master's program in Sociology was started in 2001/2002. It works to prepare social researchers, counselors, and social workers by providing students with theoretical and practical knowledge, which is what various social institutions and the local community in general need.
